Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in a mixed ethnic family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss while her mother was English. She was raised on the southern part of London Council Estate. She attended The Brit School aged 14. She pursued acting studies in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. At the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions including King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. The following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, the actress was offered Bambi who was the leading character in ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was cast as Ashley Davenport for the ABC show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode series aired for just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. In May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing a guest episode in the very first season of the third. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe and her partner of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he had a role alongside her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball in summer and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. So when she was 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley was hooked on dance immediately. Ashley participated in the top divisions of tap, jazz hip-hop, ballet the lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished high school. Ashley was awarded the top soloist prize at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more, just to mention the few.
