Catherine Tate

CatherineCatherine Jane Ford (born 5 December 1969), known professionally as Catherine Tate, is an English actress, comedian and writer. Tate has been nominated for seven times for the BAFTAs as well as an International Emmy Award, and many other awards for her performance in the BBC sketch comedy series The Catherine Tate Show (2004)-2007. Tate was Donna Noble's partner in Doctor Who's Christmas special from 2006. She later reprised the role, and was the Tenth Doctor's companion on a regular basis in the fourth series of Doctor Who in 2008. [2] After The Catherine Tate Show's success, Tate played Joanie Taylor ("Nan") in the BBC One comedy series Catherine Tate's Nan (2009-2015), and in The Nan Movie (2022). She was cast as Nellie Bertram, who was a regular part in the Office's U.S. version, in the year 2011. The character remained as a regular character until end of the series. The character she played was the role of Miss Sarah Postern (2013-2014), and Magica de Spell (2017-2021) in the BBC One sitcom Big School. Tate had six roles in Hard Cell, the Netflix comedy series she co-wrote as well as co-directed.
